My Dialog for a Nautical Christian Wedding Ceremony

Wedding Prayer

Our heavenly father, whose presence is the source of all LOVE and HAPPINESS, you created Heaven and Earth, you created
Man and then gave him a Woman so that he would not be alone. We pray that you will be present to grant your blessing on
ADAM and EVE.

May they be truly joined in holy marriage according to your covenant. We believe that it was your will that brought them together.
Grant them the frame of heart to enter this relationship. Equip them with your grace, so they can enjoy the comforts, cares, trials,
and duties of life together in a way that honors your name.

Please guide and protect them from this day forward, this we pray in of our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.

I will now read from the Holy Bible what is said about Marriage.

Gen 2:18
The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."

Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him
up. But if someone is alone and falls, it's just too bad, because there is no one to help him. If it is cold, two can sleep together
and stay warm, but how can you keep warm by yourself? Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A
rope made of three cords is hard to break.

Matt. 19:4-6
Jesus tells us: “From the beginning, the Creator made male and female. This is
The reason a man is to leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two become one flesh.

They are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Love is patient; Love is kind; Love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude.
It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

EVE and ADAM

Love is a wonderful gift from God. and a wedding is a celebration of that gift. We are gathered here today to celebrate because
EVE and ADAM have found this precious gift. They ask for our blessings as they exchange the vows that will forever unite them
as husband and wife.

EVE and ADAM, today you embark on a voyage that will last a lifetime. The Vessel that carries you on this voyage is called
Marriage. You now stand at the Helm, ahead of you, lies, the vast Ocean of Life.

Today you may look forward to calm seas and clear sunny skies. But you must be prepared. You will encounter stormy weather
and it will require devotion, commitment, and sacrifice from both of you in order to keep your Marriage afloat.

Through out your voyage you will stop at many ports. You may even take on some small passengers. Together you will learn
and experience many wonderful things. You will share everything and hide nothing from each other.

As in the Garden of Eden, you will see each other naked in the sunlight and not be ashamed. You will sleep together in the
moonlight; you will bond and become one flesh. You will come to know and touch each other, closely, intimately and
passionately. You will become each other’s best and most trusted friend.

But beware, so many others have embarked on this same voyage and have allowed their vessel to take on water and they have
sunk into the deep sea of failure. The Ocean of Life is uncharted and there can be many obstacles and dangers.

EVE and ADAM, you must not be frightened by the high waves of insecurity, you must not succumb to the mermaids of
temptation, and you must not be terrified by the great sea monsters that will emerge from the depths of your weaknesses.

What you must do is put your Trust in God as your Home Port. You begin your Voyage with God and you end your Voyage with
God. As you venture out into the unknown Ocean of Life, Let God be your Navigator. Aboard your Marriage Vessel, you must
appreciate and respect each other before you have any expectations from each other. You must comfort each other and
strengthen each other. You must caress each other with soft hands and speak to each other with kind tender words. You must
Love each other totally and completely because it will be your unconditional love for each other and your faith in God that will
keep your Marriage a float.

EVE and ADAM, I now ask,
Are you ready to embark on your voyage?

GROOM ONLY
It has long been said and known that the Wedding is for the Bride and the responsibility is for the Groom. This is true, because
more importantly God holds the Man, the Husband, YOU ADAM, God holds you responsible for the welfare of your Wife and
family.

So I need only tell you ADAM, you must treat EVE with Love, Kindness, and never use disrespectful heavy words? You must be
attentive to her needs before your needs? You must be Faithful and Noble to Her.

BUT above all, You must be the Spiritual, Godly Leader of your House. ADAM, do you accept these responsibilities before God
and these Witnesses?

Consent to be married

ADAM, do you take EVE to be your wife, to live together in holy matrimony, to love her, to honor her, to comfort her, and to keep
her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

EVE, do you take ADAM to be your husband, to live together in holy matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to
keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

Humble and Submit

EVE and ADAM, You have come here today of your own free will to express to all of your family and friends that you are in love,
that you are devoted to each other and that you want to spend the rest of your lives together. You will now publicly confirm your
Love and Devotion by humbling and submitting yourselves to each other.

ADAM, Humble yourself to the woman you love,
And repeat these words.

“I ADAM am a Believer and Follower of the Lord Jesus Christ”
" EVE, Today, I open my heart and humble myself to you,
“I, take you EVE, to be my wife”
“I will Love you as Christ Loved the Church and gave Himself for Her”
“To have and to hold from this day forward”
“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer”
“In sickness and in health”
“To love and to cherish, for the rest of my life”
“This I vow to you in the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit”

EVE, Submit yourself to the man you love,
And repeat these words.

“I EVE am a Believer and Follower of the Lord Jesus Christ”
"ADAM, Today, I open my heart and submit myself to you,
"I, take you ADAM, to be my husband,
“I will be your Helpmate as God created me to be by your side”
“To have and to hold from this day forward”
“For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer”
“In sickness and in health”
“To love and to cherish, for the rest of my life”
“This I vow to you in the name of The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit”

EVE and ADAM, You now stand together as one!

Exchange of Rings

Repeat after me and then place the Ring on the her Finger (Groom first)
“I give you this ring, as a token and pledge,
Of my devotion and unconditional love for you.”
(Repeat the same for the Bride).

Pronouncement

EVE and ADAM, “Please join hands”
May the wonderful memory of this day remain etched in your Minds and Hearts forever, When difficult times appear, do not allow
yourselves to be discouraged, May you recall and return to this day and replenish all of the Joy and Passion you have for each
other. May your love always be as constant as the waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea? Just as there will never
be a morning without the ocean’s flow, may there never be a day without your love for each other.

"By virtue of the authority vested in me by the State of California, as a Minister in the Christian Church, and as a Captain in the
United States Maritime Service…..
I now pronounce you husband and wife. In The Name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
What God has joined together, let no man separate"

"You may now kiss your bride."
OPTIONAL BLENDED FAMILY CEREMONY

Ladies and Gentlemen, today we celebrate not only the making of a new marriage but also the making of a new family.

ADAM and EVE, you are both bringing your children into this marriage to form what is a called a Blended Family. At this
time we invite your children to step forward.

Do you now accept the honor and responsibility of becoming a member of this new family?

You will now receive a special gift to welcome you into a new home and to commemorate the making of this new family.

(Parents give each child a Ring, Bracelet, or Necklace. The Children then return to their seats.)
OPTIONAL SAND CEREMONY

have chosen to blend sand .

Bring the sands of unity forward please.

These separate containers of sand represent each of you as an individual person. The sand represents all that you were,
all that you are, and all that you will be. Each particle symbolizes your unique Character, Beauty and Strength.

The sand I pour first, represents your foundation of Trust, Unconditional Love for each other, and your Faith in God.

Now, if you will, both of you blend your sands together

This symbolizes the blending of your two hearts and two lives into one.

Look into each other’s eyes and repeat after me

"My body and heart are like these grains of sand, Blending and Bonding with you forever. I am yours, You are mine, Like
the sand, Like the wind, We are one."

Just as these grains of sand are blended, and can never be separated, so may your lives be blended together and never be
    separated.

Dialog for Marriage Renewal Ceremony

Love is a miraculous gift and a Marriage is a Testimony of that gift.

Adam and Eve, you have embarked on a voyage that has lasted over 20 years.  Your Marriage was the vessel that carried you on
that voyage. You stood together at the helm, and navigated through the vast ocean of life.

For
20 years, you have sailed through the waters of Good Life. Together you ventured through some calm seas and clear sunny
skies. And when you encountered stormy weather, it was your devotion, commitment, and sacrifice that kept your Marriage
afloat.

Through out your voyage you stopped at many ports and took on small passengers and they are all here today. You’re Children,
Grand Children, and Family are present today to honor you and to celebrate with you.

You shared everything and hid nothing from each other. You saw each other naked in the sunlight and were not ashamed. You
slept together under the moonlight, bonded and became on flesh. You came to know and touch each other intimately and
passionately. You became each other’s best and most trusted friend.

And even though at times you may have allowed your vessel to take on water, you did not sink into the deep sea of failure. You
did not run aground with complacency, you did not abandon Ship, you stayed together, you worked together, and together you
weathered out the storms and learned how to dance in the rain.

Adam and Eve, as you continue your voyage together, you must not be frightened by the high waves of insecurity, you must not
succumb to the mermaids of temptation, and you must not be terrified by the great sea monsters that will emerge from the
depths of your weaknesses.

What you must do is CONTINUE to trust each other, comfort each other, and strengthen each other. You must CONTINUE to
love each other totally and completely. It has been your unconditional love for each other and your faith in God that has kept
your marriage a float.

Adam and Eve, I now ask,
Are you ready to continue your voyage?

Consent to be married
ADAM, do you again take this woman to be your wife, to live together as husband and wife, to love her, to honor her, to comfort
her, and to keep her in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

EVE, do you again take this man to be your husband, to live together as husband and wife, to love him, to honor him, to comfort
him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

Humble and Submit
Adam and Eve, You have come here today to express that you are in love, that you are devoted to each other and that you want
to continue to spend the rest of your lives together.

You will now publicly confirm your love and devotion by humbling and submitting yourselves to each other.

ADAM, Humble yourself to the woman you love,
And reaffirm your vows

"I, ADAM open my heart and humble myself to you,
"I, take you EVE, to be my wife,
To have and to hold from this day forward,
For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish, for the rest of my life”

EVE, Submit yourself to the man you love,
And reaffirm your vows

"I, EVE, open my heart and submit myself to you,
"I, take you ADAM, to be my husband,
To have and to hold from this day forward,
For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish, for the rest of my life”
Adam and Eve, You now stand together as one!

Exchange of Rings

“May we have the rings please?”
"Please repeat after me (Groom first)
“I give you this ring, as a token and pledge,
Of my devotion and unconditional love for you.”
(Repeat the same for the Bride).

Pronouncement

Adam and Eve, “Please join hands”
May your love always be as constant as the never-ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea?
Just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow, may there never be a day without your love for each other.

"By virtue of the authority vested in me as a Minister in the Christian Church, and as a Captain in the United States Maritime
Service, I now order you to continue your voyage as husband and wife."

"You may now kiss."
Congratulations on your engagement and intentions to marry. I would like to take this opportunity to explain
the guidelines and options that are available to you should you choose to have me perform your marriage
ceremony.

I would first like to declare my faith and belief in Jesus Christ as my Personal Lord and Savior. I believe that
marriage is a sacred institution created by God and is the most bonding relationship for man and woman as
stated by Jesus Christ in the Book of Matthew Chapter 19.

As a Christian Minister, I perform a spiritual and passionate wedding ceremony with traditional Christian vows.
The dialog I use is listed below. The duration of my basic ceremony is about 15 minutes. If you are not a God
believing person, and you would like to know more about the Love of Jesus Christ, I would be happy to pray
with you as you invite him into your Heart to be your Lord and Savior.

These Wedding Ceremonies are simple and short, and do not require a rehearsal. However, should you desire
to have a rehearsal, we can schedule a special 2 hour Rehearsal on the Thursday evening prior to your
Wedding. There is a $95 fee for the Rehearsal.

Good Luck to you,
and remember,
Eat, Drink, and Get Married!

God Bless You
